Something the Lord Made - The Greatest American Movie

(Drama) Something the Lord Made tells the emotional true story of two men who defied the rules of their time to launch a medical revolution, set against the backdrop of the Jim Crow south. Working in 1940s Baltimore on an unprecedented technique for performing heart surgery on "blue babies," Dr. Alfred Blalock (Alan Rickman) and lab technician Vivien Thomas (Mos Def) form an impressive team. Wow! I really loved the movie Something the Lord Made. The movie is absolutely stunning with top-notch graphics and visuals while Alan Rickman deliver some award-winning performances in this movie.

I also think Mos Def was great! The visuals and graphics make for some very realistic on screen special-effects but that is the beauty of the movie.When the movie wants to be funny it is funny, the same is true for when the movie needs to deliver its scary aspects.

I think Alan Rickman and Mos Def worked wonderful in Something the Lord Made. The great supporting cast includes Alan Rickman, Mos Def, Kyra Sedgwick, Gabrielle Union, Merritt Wever.
